Privacy Policy

Effective 29 July 2026. This policy explains how BrookMap ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the BrookMap website and mobile app.

Information we collect

Account. When you sign up we collect your phone number and, optionally, your name and profile photo.

Listings. If you post a property listing we store the details you provide — plot number, sector, price, photos, and contact preferences.

Location. With your permission the app accesses your device location to show properties near you. You can revoke this in your device settings at any time.

Photos. With your permission the app accesses your camera or photo library so you can upload property images. We do not access photos beyond what you explicitly select.

Device and diagnostics. We collect basic device information (OS version, app version, screen size) and crash reports to fix bugs and improve performance.

How we use your information

We use the data we collect to:

  • Display sector maps, plot details, and property listings.
  • Connect buyers and sellers through the app.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Improve the product through aggregated, anonymised usage analytics.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only with:

  • Service providers that help us run the platform (hosting, crash reporting, analytics) — under contracts that limit how they can use the data.
  • Law enforcement or regulators when required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

Listing details you publish (plot, sector, price) are visible to other users of the app and website by design.

Data retention

We keep your account and listing data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.

Account deletion

You can request account deletion by emailing Connect@brookmap.com. We will process the request and confirm deletion within 30 days.

Children's privacy

BrookMap is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you through the app or website before the changes take effect.
